Lahore Aviation Division relaxes rules for high-rise constructions
Lahore: Federal Minister for Aviation Division Ghulam Sarwar Khan on Monday announced the authority’s decision to relax the rules pertaining to the construction of high-rise buildings, according to news sources. This measure is aimed at promoting ease of doing business within the country.
In this regard, the federal minister chaired a high-level meeting that was attended by Secretary Aviation Division Hassan Nasir Jamy and other senior officials concerned. Secretary Jamy took the opportunity to brief the minister regarding important issues pertaining to the aviation division.
During the meeting, Minister Sarwar highlighted that the division had relaxed the rules for construction of high-rise buildings in accordance with Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s vision of enhancing ease of doing business across the country.
He instructed the ministry to distribute the details regarding the change in regulations to all the stakeholders concerned for public interest as per the SRO 11(KE)/2020 of March 5, 2020.
The federal minister further directed the secretary aviation division to strengthen the Lands Directorate of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in order to increase its capacity for resolving all pending issues regarding the authority’s land.
