Faisalabad Development Authority launches anti-encroachment campaign in Madina Town
Faisalabad: The Enforcement Directorate of the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) launched recently an anti-encroachment campaign in the city’s Madina Town locality, a news source reported.
FDA Director-General (DG) Muhammad Suhail Khawaja directed the officials concerned to launch the campaign at Jattanwala Chowk, Madina Town, in a bid to facilitate the residents of the locality.
State Officer Imtiaz Goraya led the anti-encroachment team and observed the situation at the site. The team found out that various shopkeepers had encroached upon the roads, footpaths, and public utility sites.
The anti-encroachment team asked the shopkeepers to remove the encroachments but they did not obey the notice. Consequently, the anti-encroachment team launched the operation and cleared the market site by taking away their products.
To this effect, the FDA DG reiterated that the anti-encroachment drive in commercial markets and residential colonies would continue and action would be taken against those who violate the directives. He said that no one was allowed to occupy public amenities.
